Old School 2 Nu Skool is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to empower youth and young adults to become increasingly aware of their basic self-worth, assisting them in achieving their fullest potential in every facet of their lives.

About Our Programs
The research is clear and decisive regarding the types of services “aging out” youth need to break the cycle of the unsuccessful transition from foster care to living a productive, independent life. Mentoring and life skills training are consistently identified as a persistent need in the “aging out” community.
Old School 2 Nu Skool (OS2NS) will provide all program participants with access to a caring, trained mentor that will provide life skills training and coaching. The mentoring program will be established according to the: “Effective Strategies for Providing Quality Youth Mentoring in Schools and Communities: Foundations of Successful Youth Mentoring” guidebook. Published by: The Hamilton Fish Institute on School and Community Violence & The National Mentoring Center at Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory
The Financial Literacy Education component of the OS2NS program will be facilitated through the financial workshop kits provided by the National Endowment for Financial Education.
The kit covers basic money management tips, living on entry level wages, financing education, dealing with debt, family money skills and saving.
The Career Exploration & Development Training and the Entrepreneurship Programming curriculum will be facilitated through the Instructor and/or the Entrepreneur within the Classroom curriculum.
The Academic Enrichment training will be facilitate through the Instructor within the Classroom curriculum.
Engagement through Old School Car Restoration, which will be facilitated through the Mentor within the classroom and the classroom curriculum.
